TEAM AND ROLE
The Renewable Gas Desk has a clear mission: to help customers that are experiencing difficulties when it comes to achieving their environmental targets. We help them transition from fossil fuels to renewable alternatives and as Sales Trader, you will work directly with biomethane producers, wholesale trading parties, and transport sector stakeholders in Germany. In this highly competitive market, you’ll be responsible for developing an in-depth understanding of your clients’ trading needs, structuring tailor-made solutions, and ultimately generating deal flow for the wider desk.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and win new business in the German renewable gas market
- Understand the value drivers of renewable gas projects and proactive commercial development of market potential
- Contribute to developing STX market position and visibility
- Map and develop relationships with existing new clients and counterparties
- Optimize market connectivity between the trading and origination team
Key Requirements
- At least 2+ years of relevant experience in either sales trading, business development, or account management. with an existing network within renewables, biomethane or energy
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills, collaborative work style and a proactive attitude
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, economics or STEM and fluent in German, and in English
- Living in or willing to relocate to Amsterdam
