JOB SUMMARY:

The Global Business Development business line of the Company is dedicated to its organic growth across all geographies and asset types. The Business Development team in Bulgaria is responsible for the implementation of the Company’s new strategy of decarbonization and growth in renewable energy in Bulgaria. The Senior Business Developer has a key role in scouting, assessment, selection and implementation of greenfield and acquisition project opportunities with main focus on wind, solar and storage project opportunities, as well as on new technologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Scouting and selection of acquisition and development project opportunities.
  • Preliminary project technical assessment and financial valuation.
  • Project management during the entire process of greenfield development or project acquisition.
  • Stakeholder management and constant communication (written and verbal) with main stakeholders such as municipalities, authorities, landowners, project developers, etc.
  • Agreements negotiations (joint development agreements, project acquisitions, land contracts, etc).
  • Budget responsibility for the projects to be managed.
  • Preparation and presentation of internal project transaction materials (budget, investment approvals, monthly reporting, etc).
  • Developing a deep understanding of the country’s business market needs and trends to propose adequate services and solutions.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

  • University Degree in Economics, Finance or Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience as business developer/project manager/project engineer in the field of renewable energies.
  • Experience in renewable energy project development, project management or M&A.
  • Good knowledge of energy market and regulation in Bulgaria.
  • Experience with permitting processes of renewable energy projects in Bulgaria.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Technical and financial competences - sufficient to analyze and build the project business case (resource assessment, pre-feasibility studies, market environment, financial valuation, etc).
  • Negotiation skills – strong communication and interpersonal skills; culturally aware and sensitive; good relationship building skills.
  • Problem-solver and result-oriented person.
  • Enthusiasm to contribute to a fast growing, hardworking and dynamic organization.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Travel Requirements – availability to travel upon business needs.
