The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing EIA projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise in EIA processes, including screening, scoping, and preparing Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs);
- Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, as well as mentoring junior consultants to ensure high-quality work;
- Compiling and reviewing technical reports, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating public and stakeholder engagement activities.
About you
Qualifications:
- Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, with advanced degrees or professional certifications an advantage;
- Strong experience in environmental consultancy with a focus on EIA;
- An in-depth understanding of EIA processes, environmental legislation, and best practices in environmental management is crucial;
- Strong project management skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., GIS, AERMOD) would be an advantage.
