The essence of the role

As Sustainability Analyst, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our global sustainability efforts while also driving independent projects and initiatives. This role requires a combination of collaborative teamwork and self-driven initiative. We're looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment where processes are not yet fully defined. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in shaping sustainable practices and innovative workflows for Sinch’s global organization.

As our new Sustainability Analyst, you will:

  • Strategy implementation and project management: Together with the Head of Sustainability, collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainability strategies and initiatives. This role will also facilitate communication and knowledge sharing among team members to foster a culture of sustainability throughout the organization, as well as supporting in external communication of Sinch sustainability ambitions and achievements;
  • Sustainability reporting: Manage internal and external data collection, internal controls, and reporting related to relevant sustainability reporting and statements, e.g., CSRD, EU Taxonomy, CSDDD, UNGC, CDP, EcoVadis. This also includes working with teams from many different parts of the organization to secure investor-related ESG ratings and customer-related sustainability inquiries;
  • Set and manage processes for sustainability due diligence: Develop and implement global processes to manage impacts, risks, on relevant disclosure requirements to ensure compliance with CSRD. This also includes developing processes related to assessing and manage processes to handle negative impacts guided by CSDDD, OECD Guidelines and UN Guiding Principles.

In order to be successful in this role, we believe you have:

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in economics, business, finance, legal studies, sustainability or other applicable field;
  • Technical skills: High knowledge of sustainability reporting and regulatory frameworks, including EU directives (e.g., CSRD and ESRS, CSDDD, EU Taxonomy), GHG Protocol, TCFDand SASB. Experience from working with SBTi is a merit. As well as experience from working with ESG due diligence in an global context;
  • Experience: At least 2-3 years of broad experience working with corporate sustainability and sustainability reporting in general, as well as GHG and climate reporting in particular;
  • Personality Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within and outside of the own team. Demonstrated self-motivation and ability to drive sustainability initiatives independently. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data. Professional fluency in English, both written and verbally.
