Principal Marine Environmental Consultant - Offshore Wind

Your Role:
You’ll work on and manage a range of EIAs on large-scale marine and coastal infrastructure projects, with a particular focus on Offshore Wind, Renewables and Energy Transition, across the UK and Ireland. This role will include:
- Coordination and delivery of EIAs
- Marine consents management and compliance
- Technical review and delivery of reports
- Building relationships with statutory consultees and other groups/members of the public
- Helping to steer our clients’ projects through the complexities of marine consenting and environmental assessment
- Supporting and mentor junior colleagues to build up their skills.
- Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
Qualifications:
You’ll have a detailed knowledge of the EIA process on major energy infrastructure projects, ideally coupled with direct experience of the offshore renewables sector. Applicants with experience of working in other offshore industries (e.g., Oil & Gas) or onshore energy infrastructure projects are also welcomed. We’d like you to have:
- A degree in a relevant environmental subject and potentially with an MSc in a relevant topic e.g. Environmental Impact Assessment or similar
- Experience of working in a consultancy environment, including experience of managing EIA projects
- Experience of working as part of a team, including liaising with other technical specialists, e.g. marine processes, underwater noise
- Experience of working with environmental stakeholders, including regulators and nature conservation bodies
- The ability to communicate information to a range of audiences, through high quality written work and oral presentations.
