Program Manager - Sustainability

We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the Sustainability division of Ignitis, where you’ll be responsible for contributing to the management of renewable energy portfolio and sustainability initiatives. If that speaks to you, we’d be happy to welcome you to our team!
You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:
- Communicating with stakeholders: manage communication with stakeholders by providing regular updates, preparing the business for carbon tax changes, and setting clear project milestones to ensure smooth transitions.
- Implementing EU ETS II: manage the implementation of EU ETS II across company systems, subsidiaries, and processes, including developing and updating the EU ETS II monitoring plan and ensuring compliance with Monitoring and Reporting Regulation (MRR).
- Managing systems & data: oversee changes to internal systems for data collection, greenhouse gas calculation, transfer pricing, and the methodology for natural gas supply monitoring to align with EU ETS II requirements.
- Integrating IT and business needs: prepare business needs analyses for IT system developers, ensuring effective integration of new systems to support EU ETS II requirements and carbon tax implementation.
- Updating contracts and pricing: lead the amendment of standard supply contracts to incorporate EU ETS II in supply pricing and monitor financial impacts on the natural gas consumer portfolio.
- Managing projects and forecasts: manage various carbon tax-related projects, analyze EU ETS II price forecasts, and ensure public procurement compliance while driving sustainable and financially sound outcomes.
Required for this position:
- BSc (or higher) degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Other backgrounds will also be considered;
- Minimum 3 years of project or program management experience, preferably in the energy or IT sectors;
- Proficiency in MS Excel, JIRA, and Confluence;
- Experience in applying EU sustainability directives or other regulations to business processes;
- Proven track record in managing large-scale and complex projects, with strong change management skills;
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken;
- PRINCE2 or AGILE certification is considered an advantage.
