Axpo is looking for a skilled Senior Oil Trader to join our Petroleum Trading team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in taking proprietary positions in oil markets and driving the development of our in-house global oil models. You will collaborate with various trading desks and contribute to Axpo’s growth strategy regionally and in related products.
What you will do:
- Take financial proprietary positions in oil markets;
- Build and contribute to integrated in-house global oil models;
- Communicate the fundamental situation and sentiment in oil markets to internal desks;
- Support the expansion of Petroleum Trading activities regionally (e.g., Asia) and in related products;
- Provide market access and hedging services to other trading desks;
- Drive knowledge transfer and integrate analysis across trading and analytics groups.
What you bring & who you are:
- Master's or PhD in business or natural sciences;
- Several years of experience in a similar position with a strong P&L track record;
- Expertise in financial and physical oil markets, with strong modeling and forecasting skills;
- Fundamental analytical approach and entrepreneurial mindset;
- Outstanding team player with excellent communication skills;
- Strong appetite for risk and innovation in trading strategies.
