WindEurope is the voice of the wind industry in Europe, working to fast-track the global transition to a clean energy future. As one of the largest trade associations in Brussels, with 85 staff and over 600 members, we are at the forefront of the energy transition.

We are looking for a dynamic Senior Membership Officer to join our Membership Team. You will be driving business development, member retention and engagement, with a strong focus on communications. If you have at least 4 years of experience in a similar role, can manage projects autonomously, and handle challenging situations effectively, we want to hear from you! You will report to the head of Membership and be an integral part of the Policy Division.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Business Development & Member Engagement:

  • Develop and implement strategies to attract new members aligned with the association’s priorities;
  • Manage and nurture relationships with existing members, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and engagement;
  • Collect feedback and identify members needs to help shape the association’s strategy;
  • Drive B2B matchmaking activities and facilitate networking opportunities at WindEurope events;
  • Represent WindEurope at trade fairs, exhibitions, and other relevant events. Ready to travel abroad within Europe, occasionally working outside normal working hours by attending morning and evening receptions.

Project Management & CRM:

  • Perform database updates, ensuring smooth processing of membership contracts, invoicing, and credit control activities and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in member data;
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders;
  • Collaborate with the Communications Team to promote membership activities and initiatives that support member retention and the overall value proposition of the association;
  • Work with the policy division to collect relevant information for the Members Portal and track its usage.

Required Qualifications:

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics or similar), with the ability to analyze data and create impactful presentations;
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken), with the ability to manage sensitive or difficult situations with diplomacy and professionalism;
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects autonomously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet tight deadlines;
  • Detail-oriented, with a proactive and creative approach to problem-solving and project execution;
  • Knowledge of wind energy and/or EU energy policy is a significant advantage;
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.

Education & Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in business administration, marketing, energy, or related fields. A Master’s degree is an advantage;
  • At least 4 years of experience in a relevant role, demonstrating a track record of managing member relations and driving business development;
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken). Knowledge of other EU languages is a plus.
