About the role
As a Sustainability Consultant, you will support clients across a range of sustainability services including (but not limited to); sustainability strategy development and auditing, energy and resource (water, waste, transport, materials) site auditing; carbon footprint and net zero action plan development; waste management and circular economy; ESG and other sustainability framework reporting, sustainability compliance and environmental management and assessment tools (ISO standards, Lifecycle Assessment etc.) development and support.
You will be involved in the following activities:
- Client Engagement:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their sustainability goals and challenges;
- Develop tailored strategies to enhance sustainability performance.
- Project Delivery:
- Conduct sustainability assessments, including carbon footprint analysis, energy efficiency reviews, and life cycle assessments (LCAs);
- Develop and implement corporate sustainability strategies, including net-zero plans, circular economy models, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) frameworks;
- Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and proposals;
- Complete ESG Due Diligence, auditing and reporting.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Advise clients on compliance with sustainability reporting, environmental regulations and industry standards (e.g., ISO 14001, CSRD);
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives against KPIs;
- Climate Assessments and Environmental Impact Assessments.
- Research and Innovation:
- Stay up-to-date with sustainability trends, policies, and technologies;
- Identify innovative solutions to drive sustainable practices in client organizations.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions for clients to build awareness and capability in sustainability;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, government agencies, and NGOs on joint sustainability initiatives.
About you
Key Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field;
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in sustainability consulting, environmental management, or a related role;
- Skills profile:
- Proficiency in sustainability frameworks such as GRI, CDP, or BREEAM;
- Expertise in carbon accounting tools (e.g., GHG Protocol, SimaPro);
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills;
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines;
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
