Your accountabilities

  • Trade a virtual power plant portfolio of wind/solar in DE, FR, FI, SE on a 7/7-day shift basis in Intraday and Day Ahead market (during office hours);
  • Focus on German intraday market, develop intraday and day ahead proprietary trading strategies and manage the risk of the German direct marketing and PPA portfolio;
  • Participate in ancillary markets for our prequalified assets leveraging opportunities in frequency containment reserves (FCR), automatic frequency restoration reserves (aFRR), and manual frequency restoration reserves (mFRR);
  • Participate in the conceptualization of algorithms in Germany and in all other intraday markets that we are active together with the team and our algo traders;
  • Daily Assessment of trading performance, analysis and back testing of executed strategies;
  • Participate in elaboration of proper design and workflows around our existing automated services and our analysis tools;
  • Prepare regular performance reports and provide insights into trading activities and market developments;
  • Knowledge sharing with colleagues and 24/7 shift team;
  • Collaboration and communication with Internal stakeholders (originators, quant team, other support roles);
  • Help us to further develop our future set up for becoming a leading renewables team in an algo trading environment on continuous intraday power markets.

Your profile

  • University bachelor or master’s degree in engineering, Economics, IT or similar;
  • Minimum 3 years trading Intraday experience in German DA, ID and ancillary markets, including the management and trading of a renewable assets’ portfolio. Any additional intraday market is a plus;
  • Experience in battery management and knowledge of ancillary markets and their mechanisms;
  • Strong analytical skills with a strategic mindset;
  • Open minded, multi-tasking and used to working in a fast paced, high-pressure environment;
  • Strong Team-player and problem-solver;
  • Excellent commercial mind-set and very good communicator;
  • Good programming and IT skills (ideally Python);
  • Proficient level of English and German.
