Metlen Energy and Metals is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our M Renewables team in Ireland. This challenging role will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of a project and delivering it safely, on time, and on budget.
Based at various sites across Ireland, and occasionally at our London office, you will liaise with the engineering and site teams and will be instrumental in the coordination of all project activities, including site surveys and maintenance of the PoW.
Your Role Will Encompass:
- Manage the project from inception to completion, ensuring on-time delivery within scope and budget.
- Conduct site surveys to assess local conditions and research supply costs for budget planning.
- Collaborate with the design & engineering team to review project documents and client information.
- Work with the project director to prepare and monitor a detailed project budget.
- Develop and track the project’s Programme of Works (PoW).
- Prepare contracts for suppliers and subcontractors.
- Supervise site engineers and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with PoW and project scope.
- Monitor resource allocation and availability to ensure project efficiency.
- Perform risk assessments and resolve issues proactively in collaboration with the site engineer.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and manage handover to the O&M team.
What you Bring to the Role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil engineering or other related discipline. MSc is considered an advantage
- Certification in project management (e.g. MBA/PMP/PRINCE II) is considered an advantage
- Proven track record in the construction of solar parks with a minimum of 2 years experience in large-scale solar parks (minimum 1MW)
- Proven track record in the construction of solar parks in UK/Ireland is considered an advantage.
- Working knowledge of MS Project and MS Office
- Fluency in English essential (both spoken and written)
- Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
