Your responsibilities

• Build expert knowledge: Develop deep expertise in specific fields and applications relevant to energy trading, becoming a trusted source of knowledge and innovation.
• Understand, gather and document requirements: Collaborate with stakeholders to collect requirements and create clear documentation, translating requirements into actionable technical specifications.
• Support and deliver strategic initiatives: Understand, analyse, and implement new business initiatives and products that support innovative trading strategies while ensuring alignment with the wider commercial strategy.
• Ensure data integrity and quality: Maintain data quality, accuracy, and consistency across multiple sources and systems, ensuring reliability, usability and compliance for trading operations.
• Facilitate stakeholder collaboration: Lead discussions to resolve technical challenges, balance input from business and technical stakeholders, and foster consensus.
• Provide training and support: Offer expert training and support to end-users, address queries, resolve issues, and promote effective use of systems.
• Communicate effectively: Build strong relationships and ensure clear, concise communication with stakeholders at all levels.

Your profile

• A university degree in either software engineering, computer science, physics, economics, engineering or mathematics.
• A deep understanding of physical and financial energy trading, algorithmic trading and its unique challenges.
• A strong background in software engineering with hands-on experience in software development.
• Proven ability to analyze and translate functional and non-functional business needs into technical specifications.
• Experience in data modeling, dashboard creation, and reporting tools.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
• Strong knowledge of trade lifecycle management and associated tools.
• Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
• A track record of driving and delivering change in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
• Experience in facilitating multi-stakeholder discussions to solve technical challenges and find consensus.
• A commitment to ensuring data accuracy, system reliability and compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
