Your responsibilities

• Design and develop battery energy storage systems (BESS) integrated with solar and wind power projects;
• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for BESS installations;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of BESS with solar PV and Wind systems;
• Perform detailed engineering analysis, including sizing, modelling and simulation of BESS;
• Develop and review technical specs, drawings and documentation for BESS projects;
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and safety protocols;
• Monitor and analyse the performance of BESS installations, identifying opportunities for improvement;
• Provide technical support during the commissioning and testing of BESS;
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in BESS technology and solar engineering;
• Mentor and guide other engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Your profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related field;
• Suitable experience in solar engineering and BESS design & implementation;
• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, including system design, installation and maintenance;
• Proficiency in BESS technologies, including lithium-ion batteries, battery management systems and power conversion systems;
• Experience with energy management software, simulation tools and modeling platforms;
• Familiarity with grid integration, power electronics and control systems for renewable energy projects;
• Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment;
• Project Management experience is a plus.
