Project Manager Renewable Energies

Reporting to a Senior Wind Developer, the Project Manager Renewable Energies will be a member of the Business Development Team in the activities related to greenfield and brownfield project development as well as M&A activities until Ready to build status and COD in Austria with a focus on wind power, hybrid parks and battery storage.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational responsibility for the acquisition of land, planning, management, and implementation of projects in the field of renewable energies, in particular for wind turbines and hybrid power plants (e.g. evaluation and acquisition of land, support of municipalities, management of and negotiations with external stakeholders such as experts, engineering offices, cooperation partners, EPC service providers, preparation and coordination of the EIA approval process, etc.);
- Acquisition of cooperation partners, model designs for partnership realizations and support as well as management of co-development projects;
- Close coordination and sparring from concept development to commissioning with all departments involved, such as legal department, financial analyses, and management team;
- Clear targets in terms of budget, timeline, results with a lot of opportunity to help shape the implementation in compliance with ContourGlobal values and all relevant legal regulations;
- Management, coordination, and realization of renewable energy projects over the entire project cycle up to ready to build stage and supporting of our construction department during realization.
Qualification & Skills
- Completed higher technical vocational training or technical studies in the field of renewable energies, energy technology, electrical engineering, or industrial engineering or similar;
- 5-7 years of experience in project management/project development in the field of renewable energies;
- Sound knowledge in the planning and implementation of energy projects;
- Excellent communication skills with regard to internal and external stakeholder management;
- Pleasure, negotiating skills and persuasiveness in dealing with landowners and municipalities;
- High self-demand in terms of work organization, structure, self-management, and implementation orientation;
- Experience with project management methods and tools and planning tools such as QGIS, ArcGIS, CAD, etc.;
- Willingness to take responsibility and hands-on mentality;
- Excellent knowledge of German and English;
- Class B driving license;
- Travel requirements within Austria up to 50%, upon business needs.
