Main Responsibilities:
- Engaging with front office, analysts, middle office, risk, IT and other functions to deliver continuous improvement and new features.
- Identify, understand, and translate existing gaps and dependencies into clear functional business requirements with the goal of improving data management, trading systems and trading architecture, analytics, and business processes for front office.
- Laying out the functional requirements for new business opportunities and drive implementation together with IT in the relevant trading systems.
- Project Management.
- Becoming the functional knowledge expert on our core systems.
Your Profile:
- Minimum 5 years of proven work experience in the energy trading domain, in either a trading house with physical power or trading/utility/energy consulting firm. Ideally in the role of a Business Analyst.
- In-depth knowledge of front-to-back end-to-end processes involved in trading financial and physical power and gas in the European energy market.
- Project management experience in projects involving stakeholders from different business areas.
- Experience with electronic trading platforms and exchange/trading venue connectivity, expertise in algorithmic trading is advantageous.
- Master’s degree and a strong, all-round knowledge of IT, ETRM, and software integration/development.
- Highly collaborative: able to build relationships with traders, quants, IT, …
- Outstanding written communication skills and ability to respond rapidly, and analytically, to situations as they arise.
- Key required skills: analytic and structured thinker, result oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Additional relevant skills: international mindset, determination, resilience, and team spirit.
- Languages: full proficiency in English, any other language is an advantage.
