Wholesale Sustainability Coordinator

We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the Sustainability division of Ignitis, where you’ll be responsible for contributing to the management of renewable energy portfolio and sustainability initiatives. If that speaks to you, we’d be happy to welcome you to our team!
You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:
- Managing renewable energy portfolios: ensure the profitable operation of renewable energy portfolios, including Guarantees of Origin, Environmental Commodities, and Carbon Footprint analysis, aligning with SBTi targets and Ignitis Group’s sustainability goals;
- Developing and managing innovative products: assist in the creation and management of new products related to Alternative Fuels, EV charging networks, and sustainable energy solutions;
- Making strategic decisions: make informed decisions on the purchase and sale of renewable gas, renewable electricity, and other environmental products to maximize profitability and ensure regulatory compliance;
- Analyzing and ensuring compliance with legislation: monitor and analyze new or updated EU directives (e.g., RED, CSRD, CBAM) and local energy sector legislation to ensure full compliance with relevant regulations;
- Implementing sustainability standards: develop and implement sustainability standards for wholesale energy products to achieve decarbonization targets, with a particular focus on Scope 3 emissions;
- Leading sustainability and energy projects: lead and support various sustainability and energy-related projects within the company, driving innovative and impactful outcomes aligned with strategic goals.
Required for this position:
- A BSc (or higher) degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Other backgrounds will also be considered;
- At least 3 years of related working experience in Sustainability, Consultancy, or similar fields;
- Proficiency in MS Excel, JIRA, GREX, Confluence, ISCC;
- Experience in applying EU sustainability directives and sustainable business management standards (e.g., ISO14001);
- Knowledge and understanding of SBTi, CDP, RED3, and other relevant regulations;
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken;
- Trading experience in electricity, commodities, shares, or currency exchange (considered an advantage).
