Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of the German grid model in close collaboration with our modelling team;
  • Develop and calibrate long-term scenarios for the German electricity grid;
  • Conduct timely and rigorous quantitative grid-related analyses to enhance clients’ decision making;
  • Structuring economic problems into quantifiable analyses and deriving insights from model results;
  • Monitor market activity, keeping abreast of the latest market and regulatory developments;
  • Communicate findings to a broad range of clients and to the wider public (e.g., client workshops, webinars, conferences, media);
  • Contribute to the development of our subscription offering for the DACH region, by identifying key trends and new opportunities to expand our capabilities.

What we are looking for

Required attributes:

  • A university degree in engineering, preferably in electrical engineering, energy technologies, industrial engineering or mechanical engineering, coupled with a keen interest in energy economics and policy developments;
  • A proven ability to collect, analyse and interpret complex quantitative data and information;
  • An ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical parties – in writing and verbally;
  • A collaborative nature, evidence of performance in team-oriented environments is highly desired;
  • Proficiency (C1 Level) in English;
  • Strong personal drive, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude;
  • Strong interest in energy markets and grid modelling.

Desirable attributes:

  • Professional or academic experience in grid modelling;
  • Experience in working with energy system and/or optimisation models;
  • Proficiency in German.
