Your responsibilities

  • Provide action triggers for the Uniper innovative businesses, based on monitoring and evaluating of regulatory, market and technology trends;
  • Deliver meaningful insights and challenge the business strategies in the business areas of sustainable electricity solutions, renewable molecules (i.e. sustainable e-fuels), CO2 management, biomethane, hydrogen and renewables;
  • Lead the interface to innovative and partner business areas. Proactively establish and manage the relationship with these, channel and prioritize their needs and provide them with outside in impulses to move the projects further;
  • Lead, structure the work and present results of both longer-term ongoing focus topics and shorter-term ad-hoc requests;
  • Deliver the outside in perspective for Uniper by presenting regularly insights from an undirected outside-in research;
  • Present findings and insights to Uniper’s Board and Top Management as well as other teams. Question the status quo to high-level decision-makers and lay the basis for promising new business models;
  • Evaluate and form an opinion on ad-hoc basis on technology, business and market fit to Uniper;
  • Lead, manage and integrate new external research providers to maximize performance;
  • Formalize interface processes to measure and make performance visible.

Your profile

  • Experience with identifying and deploying powerful insights with 4+ years of specific working experience in strategy consulting, innovation or corporate development in energy or related industries with an academic background;
  • Experience in delivering insights based on research and leveraging of research tools;
  • Interested in understanding, evaluation new trends in regulation, energy markets, business models, etc.;
  • Experience in leading projects with complex issues with the involvement of various stakeholders and teams of experts;
  • Strategical thinking and ability to have a broader perspective, as well as to deep dive and execute;
  • Ability to sum up relevant messages in a nutshell and bring across complex findings in an appropriate way in accordance to the audience addressed (from technical experts to top management);
  • Excellent analytical skills, MS-Office and virtual collaboration tool skills;
  • Project leadership experience and ability to work in interdisciplinary environments and complex structures;
  • Strong team player who seeks to change the energy industry;
  • Strong communication skills in English.
