Environmental & Permitting Team Lead

We are currently looking for Team lead who will be responsible for the Environmental and Permitting team in Estonia performance, projects and areas they work with. This position will be quality focused, identifying project risks and opportunities during the initial, development, construction and operational phases, support the project development and other teams to ensure that projects are delivered according to the relevant permits and investment case. Your key areas of responsibilities will be:
- Working independently and lead the team, ensure day-to-day delivery of the Environmental and Permitting team in Estonia;
- Ensuring that all the projects and areas Environmental and Permitting team in Estonia work with is in line with the internal strategy and environmental requirements;
- Collaborating with the all the teams (development, operations and engineering) to ensures all current and future projects adhere to permitting regulations and legislation in Estonia;
- Working in close partnership with local authorities and communities to ensure that developed objects fulfill the required permitting processes successfully;
- Liaising with the appropriate institutions on behalf of the Company to ensure that regulatory requirements are met;
- Taking responsibility for achieving teams targets and for creating great place to work through developing and empowering team members and driving a culture of continuous improvement and open dialogue;
- Supporting and coaching Environmental and Permitting project managers to close performance gaps.
Required for this position:
- Master's degree, preferably in environmental management sciences, management, or law;
- Possess over 5 years of experience in the specified responsibilities;
- Demonstrate at least 1 year of experience in renewable energy and project management;
- Advanced understanding of renewable energy project development, construction, and operation;
- Strategize environmental requirements for the business and deliver solutions effectively;
- Exhibit excellent communication, cooperation, and negotiation skills;
- Display traits of being well-organized, open-minded, hands-on, and proactive;
- Work independently with minimal support and remain approachable.
