Your new role

You will be the procurement focal point in Ammongas and the key interface with European Energy’s PtX procurement department.

As a Procurement Manager you will establish and overlook the procurement plan for each Ammongas project in close collaboration with the PtX procurement team and other internal stakeholders. You will establish and maintain relations with a wide supplier base with focus on cost optimizationand adequate technical specifications. In parallel, you will manage the parts list of selected core Ammongas products to ensure that Ammongas offers are always updated. You will also be responsible for managing project contracts to ensure an alignment between sub-supplies what is offered to clients and what is procured for the project, with the support of the Head of Sales and the Head of Projects.

In addition to the above, your tasks will include:

  • Closely follow and update the procurement management plans and communicate to the project managers about any changes to the procurement time schedule, potential delays and risks identified – you will be the link between the project and the procurement team;
  • Support cost-out and optimization process by screening the value chain domestically and internationally, also in relation to regulation requirements;
  • For the selected product categories you will be responsible for leading cost-out-projects in close cooperation with internal stakeholders, ensuring we have the right procurement strategy for the category and the right suppliers pre-qualified for the projects. You will be establishing and maintaining a good cooperation with suppliers and internal stakeholders. This will include categories that are applicable for Ammongas and PtX;
  • You will be responsible for driving the tender process for selected categories in close cooperation with the technical leads and the PtX procurement team, which includes issuing tenders, commercial evaluation of offers, negotiating contracts/placing orders in a timely manner and in accordance with specific project requirements;
  • Perform supplier evaluation in accordance with EE procedures;
  • Execute and coordinate supplier performance assessments for selected product categories in coordination with relevant internal stakeholders (technical leads, site managers, commissioning teams);
  • Participate in optimization/development projects for procurement-related tasks;
  • Be an integral part of contract management by participating in contract negotiations, in collaboration with the Head of Sales and Legal.

Job prerequisites

  • A degree in Business Management or Supply Chain Management or similar;
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with project procurement preferably from the energy or process sector;
  • Business acumen and experience with contract management;
  • You are proficient in written and spoken English;
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and preferably SharePoint.

You are enthusiastic, proactive, and results-driven. You possess solid problem-solving skills and you work in a structured and detail-oriented manner, and you are committed to delivering high quality while you keep and maintain the overview to meet deadlines. You are able to work independently in a fast-paced changing environment. You have good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with and manage a diverse group of stakeholders.
